Our Cookwood Logs are seasons one year at a minimum in the great outdoors. They’re cut into 12″ lengths and split into a diameter of approximately 2″-4″ to fit most smoker fireboxes.

Our logs are perfect for offset smokers, barrel smokers, charcoal and wood grills, as well as pizza ovens.

With a lower moisture content than our Cookwood Chunks, they burn hotter and longer producing maximum heat output all while providing plenty of smoke and flavour in the process.

They’re great for starting a fire, burning logs down into coals and grilling over, creating 100% natural coals for cooking!

We handle our wood carefully.

Here at Furtado Farms, each piece of wood is affectionately split, sized and packaged by hand… a true wood craft experience.

Our wood chips are the perfect product to compliment any BBQ on the market.

Propane, natural gas, charcoal or wood fired – our Cookwood chips enhance a d add amazing flavour to anything your grill can cook!

The same great wood and quality of the chunks goes into the chips. Chunk wood is run through a chipping machine, then sifted to remove sawdust and fines. Chips are then hand packaged tightly into their bags, and ready to smoke

All of our cookwood chunks are hand selected, cut, and packaged with care to send out only the highest quality product in every bag.

Chunk wood is all naturally seasoned in the wood yard. We aim for a slightly higher moisture content than our cookwood logs. This creates more smoke and flavour output, making them the perfect addition to any charcoal or ceramic grill.
