Have I told you lately that I love you?! I am talking to my vinyl flooring choices. Wow, have the manufacturers ever come leaps and bounds in the past decade, and right now they are knocking it right out of the park! What was once the way to save some money, by putting down some linoleum with few choices, has become a front runner in even the high-end homes being built! From the durability and ease of installation to the amazing realistic replicas of stone, tiles and hardwood there is truly nothing that today’s vinyl can’t do! I mean it can even be a wall application or a backsplash!!

I know in the past it has been the number one choice for the commercial projects, but with the styles and looks they are producing now this trend is here to stay and it will be soon dominating homes as well as businesses. The durability of vinyl is top notch, and I just love that it is quiet and warm, easy on your feet and easy to install!

I have just recently used a stunning vinyl in my own cabin reno project. It is not quite done, and I haven’t done the big reveal for anyone, but my builders are taking home samples of this flooring to show their wives, as no one can believe, by just looking at it that it is vinyl! It does an amazing job of imitating the tile look I was initially looking for but the cost of the material and the ease of installation made it a lot more attainable, so I am an absolute fan!

There are so many great uses for this vinyl, from the entire main spaces to bathrooms, entries, and even master bedrooms (like mine). I am also very excited to introduce you to something new coming out in vinyl… floor mats. Yep, so stylish and functional. It’s a great way to still have the style of an area rug that we are seeing in many dining rooms and entryways without the worry of it being less washable and durable- but that is a topic for another day (wink).
